These remotes come as dip switch style or rolling code format. Rolling code garage door opener remotes don't allow you to set little toggle buttons for you garage door. Instead they use a learn button to code to each garage door. Please make sure you have the right type of remote via dip switch or rolling code. The skylink 68 for example covers dips switch style garage door openers only. The skylink 69N on the other hand covers rolling code and dip switch.
